The Drawing Room


The drawing room was popular for entertaining.
Drawing r00m2 It was used for both formal and informal occasions, from serious music recitals to the more relaxed family gathering.
It is the only room in the home to have a decorative ceiling and houses Olveston's largest collection of watercolours. Drawing room ceiling
Drawing room fire Complete with a 1906 Steinway grand piano, dated to the beginning of the 20th century, the drawing room was a social leisure room. Visitors today are invited to play the piano.
