The Drawing Room
| The
drawing room
was popular for entertaining. |
 |
 |
It was used for
both formal and informal occasions, from serious music recitals
to the more relaxed family gathering. |
| It is the only
room in the home to have a decorative ceiling and houses Olveston's
largest collection of watercolours. |
 |
 |
Complete with
a 1906 Steinway grand piano, dated to the beginning of the 20th
century, the drawing room was a social leisure room. Visitors today
are invited to play the piano. |
