The Scullery

Some of the interesting design features in this utility room included twin copper-lined and porcelain sinks.

The copper sinks were used for washing dishes and to avoid damage to precious china.

There is no external door to the scullery. Deliveries including parcels, bread, fish, meat, and vegetables were passed through the scullery window.

A hatch links the scullery to the butler's pantry.
